FishScales, not Fish Scales, at the Georgia Aquarium
The Georgia Aquarium just launched a program called FishScales... don't know why it's FishScales instead of Fish Scales, but I digress. This new program is similar to memorial brick programs you have seen for other events/organizations. You can check it out here, www.georgiaaquarium.org. Seems like an interesting project and I think it's the first public thing the Aquarium is doing as it gets closer to opening (they are saying late fall of this year). The Aquarium will be an awesome addition to the ATL. It's suppose to be the largest in the world*. Twelve and a half times bigger than the current aquarium in Chattanooga, which is pretty big.
Any way, I know some one who worked on this site, we'll call hime V. Hammersly... no, um.. Van H. for short... to keep his anonymity.
*I had someone from Busch Entertainment (they run Busch Gardens, Sea World, etc...) remind me (not that I knew to begin with) that there is a distiction in aquarium circles as to "enclosed" and "open" aquariums. Aquarium size is measured in gallons of water from what I understand... he refered to the Georgia Aquarium as the biggest enclosed aquarium... I'm guessing that one of the Sea Worlds is "open" and technically has more water.
